Sheel and Pratish

Featuring Sheel and Pratish’s wedding is such an honour for me. I was lucky enough to get to feature their wedding on their fourth wedding anniversary this year.

Sheel and Pratish met in primary school. Sheel says,” My husband and I knew each other from primary school. We were actually in the same class in grade one and lived two streets apart, but we were never really friends then.”

It was in high school where Sheel and Pratish connected and became good friends. They were in different schools but really liked each other. Sheel shared that they had the same friends and met up pretty often. “We really became close during campus.”

We always had deep feelings for each other, but the timing just never seemed to work. I guess the heart knows what it wants, and we found our way to each other.

We started dating eight years ago and never looked back ever since. Our wedding was on the 4th December 2016 and it’s been an amazing four years!”, said Sheel.

“We became best friends and were inseparable.”

Sheel and Pratish dated for eight years before tying the knot on 4th December 2016.

Planning the big day:

Sheel says,” We both had very different tastes and ideas for the décor and style of the wedding. Eventually, he (Pratish) left it up to me. However, I always took his opinions and views into consideration. It was our wedding afterall.

We both wanted a garden wedding and after visiting numerous wedding venues we were happy with our final choice. Our wedding took place at Balmoral gardens.I loved planning our wedding.

I always had an idea of how I wanted my wedding to be and I was completely happy with the end result.

I was very hands on with all my functions. I would definitely advise future brides to draw up a calendar and list what needs to be done each day. That way nothing is forgotten and things flow smoothly.

I will never forget the week of my wedding. It is hands down the best week of my life.
