Yash and I actually met on social media. We had seen each other when we were out and about and yeah, I guess we took “sliding into your DMs” to the next level = Marriage! *chuckle*

Planning the big day:

Every bride usually dreams of their big day being absolutely perfect. However, COVID has taken that away from most bridal couples. It has been so stressful, we had to postpone and then reduce our numbers about 3 or 4 times, apologizing to guests who couldn’t attend and lastly, we had to go ahead with just immediate family due to the lockdown regulations at the time.

Many were disappointed and so were we but we decided that we had to go on with our big day because this virus is so uncertain. We had immense support from our service providers who we will forever be grateful to. Apart from not having all of our nearest and dearest with us, we enjoyed every minute of the wedding! It all went as smoothly as it could, given the circumstances.

I’d like to have a post wedding celebration every year just to dress up again and walk into our magical hall, again and again!

Our special memory from our wedding has to be our 1^st dance. Yash and I aren’t your typical romantic couple – we wanted our 1^st dance to be something like the way we were during our courting times – FUN!

So we did a mashup of some Hindi songs and ended it with “Perfect”. We had so much going on during our planning and we only managed to squeeze in 3 self-taught dance lessons. We were so nervous on the day, although it was just immediate family at our wedding due to COVID. We then decided whilst changing for our reception, to just wing it! And we did. We enjoyed every minute of it. Looking through our wedding trailer video, we did better than we expected. Such special memories – my sister and brother also did such an amazing job (our background dancers).
