Justin and Natasha

Justin and I met at school, we both were in grade 9 at the time exploring our second year of high school. We had mutual friends but never spoke to or greeted each other. I knew of him and at the time and vice versa.

.

It was during our lunch break that one of my friends dared me to ask him for his number. He happened to be walking up the stairs and I was going down. As we passed each other, I jokingly said,” Hey! What’s your BBM pin?” He then took my phone and punched his pin in.

.

At first this whole thing was a joke and a dare so I didn’t think anything of it. After a while we started chatting and getting to know each other. We soon started to share feelings for each other. We took up the same course as high school students and started dating.

We are together for 15 years now and have accomplished so much together.

Planning our wedding day was a walk in a park for us. We had my mum-in-law, mother and sisters helping out so much that they took a load of pressure off from us. Our mums planned a trip to India together to make sure we had the best bridal attire for our wedding.

.

I actually wasn’t stressed at all when it came to the planning because I knew I had my strong women behind me

Our wedding was a traditional Telegu wedding. There is a family tradition we observed. This tradition is passed down to generations and I didn’t want to disappoint my husband and not adhere to it.

.
.

This tradition requires the bride to dress and get ready at the groom’s house. So my husband was the first person to see me with my bridal attire.

He looked at me with affection and said ,”I’ve never seen anything more beautiful than you!”,as tears filled his eyes. It was the most precious and sweetest moment ever.

.

To all my brides to be, just enjoy the moment and do what makes you happy, make sure each moment is captured. Also planning ahead makes it perfect.
