Karina and Tristan

Tristan and I have known each other since preschool. Our love blossomed after high school, and we have been inseparable since!

Planning our destination wedding in our hometown of Durban was a bit of a challenge. Our wedding was originally planned in the year 2020 and was postponed three times due to Covid. We finally got married in January 2024.

.

We scaled down to a small intimate celebration with our closest family and friends and ultimately this was the best decision we made for ourselves.

.

Tristan and I seeing seeing each other for the first time on our wedding day was priceless. The day was finally here!

My advice for future brides and grooms to be is to do your research and plan well in advance.

If there is something that you really like or want, do not settle! Work towards it even if it means delaying your wedding for a while.

.

Discuss with your partner and try to include your family in some of the decision making if possible. Remember this is your wedding – Your rules, your choices, do what’s best for you.
