Danvir and I met through social media. I was running a Christmas charity drive for orphaned babies, and he was all too eager to get involved. After a few weeks of chatting and successfully delivering all the items to the orphanage we found ourselves meeting once again.

Only this time he brought a rather peculiar gift… a bag of up-to-date potatoes! He had learned from my Facebook posts and WhatsApp statuses that I loved cooking. The meetings continued and well the result is clear.

Planning of our wedding was nerve wrecking and exciting at the same time. The most memorable part of it was shopping with Danvir for all the finishing touches and doing our wedding rehearsal.

This just made us realize how much we love each other and how we have grown to understand each other, with patience and love.

We truly had an amazing wedding. Our parents really left no stone unturned in giving us the best. A special memory from my wedding was seeing my husband tear up as I walked down the aisle. His special memory is me walking down the aisle.

Advice for bridal couples to be is: Remember it is your special day and it’s about what you want together as a team. Communication, compromise and sacrifice is key.
