Kerusha and Niven

It’s actually a funny story. Niven and I initially met at university- as we call it campus days. Coincidently, we frequented the same gym and did not recognize each other! Slowly but surely, we finally “met” at the entrance of the gym.

After 5 years of dating, Niven proposed in the most magical way and two years later, we decided to tie the thali.

Niven and I are proud of our South Indian and North Indian culture and traditions.

Planning our wedding was incredibly stressful but simultaneously magical. As the bride, I wanted everything to be perfection- so I decided to take up all the preparation by myself with the assistance of my husband.

I am a control freak and appreciate even the tiniest detail being given the utmost attention and care. I wanted everything to be exceptional. The only way to have that was to trust my planning and organizational abilities – and ensure I do everything myself. Planning this wedding was most exciting- now that it is over, I actually tend to miss the prep.

Getting ready on the big day was amazing. I was actually calm and composed as I am aware patience is required to achieve a polished final look.

As a dancer, I have worn multiple traditional outfits and have explored various looks. I wanted my bridal look to be unique from any other look that I have done.

Without a doubt, that was achieved. My makeup artist was brilliant. She understood my style and that I wanted to be a fully traditional and bold South Indian bride and delivered exactly that. Words cannot describe how happy I was when I had the first look at the mirror.

A special memory from the big day is the moment when Niven and I were officially announced as husband and wife. The fireworks went off and created a lively, warm and unforgettable atmosphere.

Magical memories.
