How they met:
“Vijay and I met on an app called “WeChat”… things didn’t really go well at that point. A year later he past me on the road ( and probably realized I’m the one lol !) so he texted me and we began chatting again. After a few weeks we decided to meet.
From the first date I guess we both knew this is what we want.

We were proposed two years after we started dating, then got engaged four years later. And a year after getting engaged we are now married!
A special memory in our relationship would be swimming with the dolphins in Dubai at Atlantis palm (despite Vijay being unable to swim!).

Planning the big day:
We started planning our wedding in 2018. We started early because we did not want to be financially burdened. It was something we wanted to do on our own. By 2019 ,we found all of our service providers and made agreements that we would pay them in monthly installments.

Planning was difficult as I was Hindi and Vijay is Tamil. Not having guidance from the elders in my side of the family was challenging as our cultures are different. My parents are sickly so I sought advice from the many Tamil aunties that I work with. They provided much needed guidance and continually checked that I was on the right track. I would get a few ideas and then get Vijay to approve one of it. He was very easy to work with.

I got my way by emotionally blackmailing him most of the time that I would now be converting for him.
