RAKSHMI AND PRASHANT

Prashant and I met through social media. After a few days of talking and background checks, we realised we had crossed paths much earlier in life – we attended the same high school for a year.

The rest has been much more than we could have imagined. We’ve become each other’s “person” and companion.

While planning our wedding I suggested the “shoe game”, and everyone including Prashant and the coordinators were against it. It turned out to be a great hit, especially when the question of, “Who’s a bigger baby when they are sick?” was asked and I stood up.

The game was a great hit at the wedding and it’s a fond memory we look back at often.

Planning a wedding was a stressful undertaking especially during COVID- 19 times. We did not know where to start!

We decided to look at venues first. We went to Coastlands and loved it. We asked to book a date and the manager at the time was very helpful, happy to book us down, and suggested we check with our priest if the date is auspicious. This was a wake up call, as we realised there is so much to do.
