I had just moved to Johannesburg from Durban in 2015. I was not aware at the time but it turned out the flat I was renting was owned by Kuben’s aunt. You know how the aunties always want to introduce you to someone they know, who is supposedly “the perfect guy” for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back then I did not believe in looking for or finding the perfect guy. So Kuben’s aunt reached out a number of times about this “perfect guy she” had for me. About a year later, I agreed to meet him for dinner. <\/p>\n\n\n

The one thing that stood out to me on our first date was how much of a gentleman he was and how easy the conversation flowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know this is going to sound ‘cheesy’ but on that warm and beautiful Thursday evening of 28th January 2016, I met my version of the perfect guy in Kuben. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They say, “When you know you know.” And in my heart, I knew he was the one!<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The 6th of June 2022 is a day that will be etched in my heart forever. I could relive every moment of the build up to our wedding as well our wedding day. <\/p>\n\n\n

The sugar cane fields, with the most beautiful sunset, created the perfect ambiance. It felt as if we’d been transported to the paddy rice fields of South India. <\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n

My personal favourite part of my wedding day was the tying of the mangalyam<\/em>. Then having our parents on stage with us,the melodious carnatic music playing in the background and our close family and friends present to share the special moment with us.<\/p>\n\n\n

Our day was everything I envisioned, my South Indian vision turned into reality. To the love of my life Kuben, you made the planning of this beautiful day an absolute breeze!<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n
